Six year old Warmblood Clydey Cross (d.o.b 31/03/2009).

Bred on Jura, this little filly has been well looked after for all of her life (i.e feed supplements to support her growth).  She was handled since birth but allowed to be a horse and explore the steeper back blocks of our property ensuring she developed balance, co-ordination and independence from the herd.  She is a good doer with hardy feet - could be left unshod, however current work load and the tracks we ride require her to be shod.  She has never been unsound, and is a wee powerhouse over the hills!

She stables beautifully, in typical mare fashion reserves one corner of her box for her muck, and is completely trust worthy to muck out around, feed etc.  She is not dominant or agressive in anyway with her handlers.

With her Grandfather being Uraeus, as well as Glendevon Commander bloodlines we are expecting Indie to develop into a wonderful sport horse.  She is mainly warmblood with a touch of Clydie and a smidge of TB, making her sensible, extravagent moving and forward moving.

She was broken in as a three year old and has been bought along slowly and carefully, to ensure that her joints and ligaments do not go through undue strain while she grows.  She has been schooled in the arena, extensively hacked over the farm on her own and in company - in fine weather and blasting Wellington gales!  Stays level headed and obedient (long rein) over the farm even when horses around her are tearing around, or cows jump out of the bushes at her. Schools in the arena with my adorable boof head dog chasing her and running under her feet.  Safe to lead off and is awesome at gates.  Now out competing and bringing home the ribbons!  She is being taken to coaching clinics and has begun attending dressage days (Level 1 60%) and local shows through out 2014, including Show Hunter (70cms).  Just starting jumping over 90cm under rider, and shows real steam around a X-Country course (competing at intro - schooling at training height).  She happily free jumps over 1.40m and schooling over a metre at home under rider.

Like all our horses she is trained to be confident through kind and extensive exposure to new experiences.  Self loads on a float, stables beautifully, eats and drinks well when away and well behaved at shows (although she is still green so not perfect!).

She can be quite mareish at home - but has manners when out and about and quite safe to ride in busy warm up rings - no red ribbon necessary even when she is in season!

She would be ideal for a competitive young rider wanting a talented, well schooled all round horse.   She is easy to have around is your typical "sassy" mare with personality, but an extremely honest little horse.
