15hh 6 year old Stationbred Mare SOLD to a fantastic new home

Alabama Acorn was born and raised on the rugged South Coast of Wellington.

She came to Jura as a green broke 3 year old.  The next three years were spent quietly giving her experience.  She quickly developed into a reliable, sensible and hugely competitive little horse.

Alabama never came home without a neck full of ribbons, often taking champion or reserve champion in her classes.  Judges always commented on how showy she was and lovely natured.

When she began show jumping as a five year old I knew I had something special.  Once she learned to jump her enjoyment was obvious - in cross country I would have to be extra careful in steering her as she would often seek out extra fences to jump along the way!   In showjumping she always jumped clear, and jump offs often won due to her size and being able to take the tight turns bigger horses just couldn't.
